THE HELPUSADOPT.ORG FAMILY TREE CAMPAIGN

We are so blessed to have 3 crazy, wild children, 2 of whom are adopted. While adoption is a huge part of our lives, in our day to day chaos, it is just a little background note. We are their parents, they are our kids, and our family goes about its business just like any other family with more young children than adults.
However, there are moments when we pause, remembering. The tears. The disappointment. The uncertainty. The pain. The friends we didn't see because they had children and we could not bear to be around them, fearful of this overwhelming jealousy and inconsolable emptiness that at times threatened to undo us.
And then there was hope. And good news. And positive, amazing people who came into our lives and helped us find our way forward. Our first adoption was an amazing journey and one for which we are so unbelievably thankful. A few years later, we chose to adopt again, although another genetic child was possible. It just felt like the right path for us, not to mention a way to teach our daughters that adoption is an amazing, wonderful and perfectly natural way to become a parent.
We are blessed in so many ways, including our ability to finance the road we all took to find one another. But for so many, the cost of adoption stands in the way of a parent and a child finding each other. We Are Family. Please help us make sure no one is left without one.
Helpusadopt.org is an equality-based, national 501c3 adoption grant program that awards large, impactful, problem solving adoption grants up to $15,000 so that couples and individuals can complete the costs of their adoptions and bring their children home.
Since 2007, we have helped build 189 families by awarding over $1.7 million in adoption grants. We are proud of the work we have done so far and grateful to the donors and supporters who have made this possible, but there is still more to be done. Sadly, we have more grant requests than we can fulfill and have to say, “no” to too many families.
November is National Adoption Month, a collective national effort to raise awareness of the more than 100 million children around the world in need of a safe and loving home. By donating to our Family Tree Campaign, you can help us say, "YES" to more families, so that these vulnerable children can live the lives they deserve.
