Hi, my name is Matthew Samir Plotner. Adoption has always been a huge part of my life ever since I was adopted from Kolkata, India at just 20 months old.
My adoption was much more burdensome for my family than anyone could have imagined. Not only, financially, but emotionally. After months of paperwork and sleepless nights, fighting for any information from the orphanage, a process that was projected to take only 2-3 months took over 12-14 months to overcome all of the obstacles that stood between this loving family and their child. However, only with the perseverance and love of my adoptive mother, was I finally able to leave the orphanage to make my flight to the United States.
On May 8th, 1991; I was received by my loving family who saved my life and allowed me to pursue all of my dreams in a new world.
I believe in this organization because I support whole loving families who want children of their own- adoption saves lives and gives people opportunity that they would have never had. I am a living manifestation and product of a mother's love. If you want to make a difference and truly change lives in ways that is hard to comprehend, join the cause and spread the love.

Helpusadopt.org is a national 501c3 financial grant program that helps couples/individuals (regardless of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, marital status or sexual orientation) with the cost of their adoptions by awarding grants up to $15,000. Helpusadopt.org supports domestic, international and foster care adoptions and does not charge its applicants to apply. Since 2007, Helpusadopt.org has built 189 families by awarding nearly $1.7 million in grant monies.
